After four years as Senior Assistant Manager of Communication and Events at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, Sandra Wee has started a new chapter in her career earlier this October, leaving behind fond memories as a loving friend of WKWSCI students.
The 33-year-old worked closely with students, such as through coordinating open houses and advising the Communication and Information Club.
Known for her bubbly personality and willingness to hear and surface student concerns from the ground, she went beyond her job scope and bonded with students.
“Even after I left CI, she would still take time to talk to us and get to know how we are doing in school,” Naomi Low, 21, who worked with Wee as the Business Manager of the 27th CI Club, said.
Those who did not personally interact with her also felt her warm presence, via emails sent throughout the semester checking in on the well-being of students. She also offered a listening ear to those who needed it.
In this multimedia feature, we sat down with Wee on her last day in school to reflect on her time at WKWSCI.
We also shared a farewell video filled with words of love from students and alumni who worked with her.
