In today’s digital age, many industries are undergoing disruption. As technology advances and societal needs change, newsrooms have also started to explore the use of alternative mediums of storytelling to reach their audience.

In this multimedia feature, we speak to three esteemed alumni of Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information Loh Chee Kong (CS’05), deputy chief editor of TODAY; Cheong Poh Kwan (CS’08), digital journalism lecturer and section head for journalism and writing at Ngee Ann Polytechnic; and Ng Wai Mun (CS’11), correspondent of Newshub, Chinese Media Group at Singapore Press Holdings. They discuss the evolution of the journalism industry and what it takes to be a journalist today.
