Final Year Project Campaign, Our Eyes For Life, was conceptualised when four WKWSCI undergraduates realised that all their parents suffered from various eye conditions.

The campaign, developed by Chan Shu Hui (CS’18), Lydia Teo (CS’18), Lim Wei Hao (CS’18) and Nicole Ang (CS’18), encourages those above 40 years old to get eye screenings.

As part of the campaign, the team recently organised a free eye screening event in Tampines, which drew more than 180 Tampines residents.

A total of 38 volunteers, comprising eyecare industry professionals and students, facilitated the event with the team.

The event garnered extensive media coverage from Channel News Asia, Shin Min Daily News and three radio stations of different languages - Capital 95.8FM, Warna 94.2FM and Gold 90.5FM.
